ACCOUNT MANAGER / MERCHANDISER, £28-£32K

Successful global fashion company require a pro-active Account Manager / Merchandiser to work in their Head Office. This Company are in an exciting period of growth and have an impressive collection of clients from the Inditex Group to Cortefiel and Esprit working with Mens, Ladies and Childrens product.

As Account Manager / Merchandiser you will take complete ownership of wholesale accounts, driving sales, negotiating and securing orders. You will also be managing developments and overseeing communication related to production & shipping. The clients are predominantly within Europe and you will have the opportunity to travel and develop close relationships with the clients.

Main responsibilities for the Account Manager / Merchandiser;

• Communicating with customers & related merchants on a day to day basis.
• Chase for new business and maintain strong relationships with new & existing clients
• Highlight and sell new product from our own production & samples in meetings with the customer
• Coordinate with production team/customer for approvals
• Negotiate prices & delivery dates with customer
• Manage any problems, including delivery extensions
• Request garment costings and negotiate best price and delivery date
• Order processing
• Communicate with shipping department, track orders & updating customer accordingly
• Weekly updates on clients with Senior Account Manager
• Co-ordinate travel plans & expenses

Key Skills for the Account Manager / Merchandiser;

• Experience as an Account Manager / Merchandiser with knowledge of production & development within Mens, Ladies or Childrens
• Must speak fluent French to work predominantly with the extensive French client base
• Knowledge of garment construction & knit/woven fabric
• Confidence in meeting with customers, you will well presented & articulate
• Highly organized & able to manage your own workload
• Understanding of different cultures
• Willing to travel
